Mathew has over a decade legal experience, initially working as a litigated claims manager for a national insurance company, before moving into private practice as a litigation lawyer with a national mid-tier firm. Mathew joined Kennedy & Cooke in February 2015 and became a Partner of the firm on 1 July 2018.

Mathew has a strong commercial grounding with a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Economics) from the University of Wollongong. He then went on to postgraduate study in law, obtaining a Juris Doctor from the University of Technology Sydney and is a member of the Law Society of NSW.

Mathew is admitted to practice law in both the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia. Mathew provides realistic advice and endeavors to resolve matters commercially. However, some matters need to be determined by the Court and Mathew is an experienced advocate regularly appearing in Court representing clients in Family Law, Criminal Law, Family Provision Claims and Civil Litigation.

Mathew is an avid sports fan, particularly rugby league and his beloved Parramatta Eels.
